How Long Does an Apartment Renovation in Alanya Take?

A full renovation of a two-bedroom flat takes five to seven weeks on average. What drives the schedule is not the floor area but how many trades stack on top of each other.

How Long Does an Apartment Renovation in Alanya Take?

This is the question we are asked most. The short answer: a complete renovation of a two-bedroom apartment takes five to seven weeks on average. Painting alone takes four to six days; a bathroom refit on its own takes ten to fourteen days.

Sequence matters more than square metres

In renovation, trades wait for each other. Plaster cannot go on before the electrical and plumbing first fix is finished, paint cannot go on before the plaster has dried, and flooring cannot be laid before painting is done. Every delay in that chain compounds towards the end.

Curing times after the rough works cannot be shortened. Screed needs at least twenty-one days; skim plaster wants three to four. Crews that try to compress these leave you with cracked walls six months later.

Two variables specific to Alanya

The first is humidity. Relative humidity is high in July and August, so paint and screed take longer to dry. For work planned in midsummer we build a few extra days into the schedule.

The second is building management rules. Many complexes do not allow noisy work during the season, or restrict it to certain hours. We always ask about this at the survey; finding out later can double the timeline.

Building a realistic plan

If you want the flat ready before the season, work should start by February or March at the latest. Jobs beginning in summer face both material supply delays and a shortage of skilled trades. Booking the survey early saves more time than the work itself.
